Okay, so I've started another book. Its one of those Clique Books that's a summer edition. Anyway, the girl that I'm reading about is Dylan. She and her mom take a plane to Hawaii because her mom is a talk show host. The new Hawaii U.S. Open is coming around the corner, and one of the players has had a nervous melt down. Svetlana, from Russia, is a total jerk! She acts really nice and appreciative during the interview, but when the interview is over she completely mistreats Dylan.
I was a little angry when Dylan realized that her new guy friend, J.T., I just too obsessed with tennis. She realized that he just asked her out because she was wearing one of the Svetlana designer dresses. She also realized that when she met him in the tennis shop, he hadn't said 'hot' to Dylan, but to her dress. Did I mention the dress went a little too high? Anyway, he is such a perv and a jerk. I think Dylan should give him another chance though. Maybe she can talk some non-tennis sense into him.
I was also a bit confused why Svetlana always asks for a gray cat with dark blue eyes. Then I found out that her real cat was stuck in Russia because the President said it had to quarantined before it came to the U.S. I am not sure if Svetlana knew what that meant because she is a blond, but she could have someone figure that out for her. If she really loves her cat so much, she should just get it quarantined.
I am sick of Svetlana! Its always Svetlana this, Svetlana that. why can't she just be nice or go away. It fun for Dylan to be around her either. she completely beats her up, and hates children. The two things that she doesn't hate are tennis, and the camera. she always has to be the center of attention, and in the center of the spotlight.
The one part I really enjoyed was when Dylan met J.T. because he was really nice by buying her a tennis dress, but the first act kind of got me off guard. He is really a tennis-obsessed JERK! He needs to wake up and smell the coffee. I mean seriously, he just acts nice to girls to get closer to Svetlana. He needs to realize how considerate, and beautiful Dylan is.
The part I was laughing a lot was when Dylan spilled her prosciutto-wrapped melon ball in a soy and white wine reduction because she is, so perfect and doesn't spill anything on herself. She quickly flicked it off, while being extremely embarrassed. She kept obsessing over if J.T. saw her spill it. If he did she would completely freak. Anyway, she should be freaking out because she spilled it on her new tennis dress. Oh, I'm sorry. Let me correct myself. New white tennis dress. I wish her luck on getting that out in the laundry, or should I say dry cleaning.
I found myself flipping ahead when Dylan got into a fight with Svetlana. When Dylan went up to Svetlana, she asked her how she gets her french braid so tight. Svetlana then turned and said "stop stalking me you dirty little rag". Dylan was really surprised because Svetlana had seemed so nice. Svetlana then twisted Dylan's wrist really hard, and made Dylan drop her brand new phone. After that, Svetlana stood nose to nose with Dylan and head-butted her. Dylan then fell to the ground, feeling like she got a concussion. Quickly, Dylan picked up her phone, got up, and ran (as fast as she could) to her mom.

Holy crap that last argument made my head hurt!! Anyway, i loved how you highlighted everything, that so organized and neat! If Ms. P doesn't give you an A+ she either missed a coffee break or didn't bother to look at it at all :) Svetlana does seem like a jerk to me too. Also the guy obsessed with tennis seems like a creep to me, but i haven't read the book yet. I'm probably gonna look into it though; it seems really interesting!!
